Miley Cyrus may soon be the hottest 15 year old in show business with a starring role in the Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana" and her first album already a million seller.

She wouldn't change anything, but sometimes misses her public school friends.

The teen has been performing on dad's concert stages since she was a toddler. Her real name is Destiny, but an early nickname, Smiley, evolved into Miley and stuck.

She's becoming well known as Miley Stewart, a preteen who lives the secret life of pop star "Hannah Montana." Real life dad Billy Ray plays Miley's dad on the show.

The TV series includes original music written and recorded by its star, so it's almost a guaranteed road to stardom for a kid like Miley, with a "lifetime" of show business experience.

At age eight, Miley appeared in the film "Big Fish" and had several appearances in the TV show "Doc," which starred her dad.

In 2006 Miley finished seventh grade, tutored on the "Hannah Montana" set, where she says it's hard to get a volleyball team together. She's adjusted well to the California lifestyle after growing up (or half-way up) in Tennessee.

She says her favorite sport is cheerleading.

"Hannah Montana" is almost biographical, at least enough to allow Miley to relate well to both the character she's playing and her alter-ego pop star. On the show she tries to live a normal daytime life while pursuing a secret nighttime show business career.

For the real Miley, the show-biz career is no longer a secret, a fact that makes some of us feel a little sad, yet we still wish her well.

And with mom and dad close by to help, Miley Cyrus looks like she's well on her way to stardom.
