Lord. Creator of everything. We praise you for your unequaled greatness.

Lord, it seems like January is going so fast.
Why?
It has to be me, Lord.
Am I wasting more time?
Merciful God, when I compare my life to the potential I believe you have in mind for me, I realize my thoughts are not your thoughts.
And my ways are not your ways.
And yet, your mercy is so great, you keep giving me new opportunities to be shaped by your thoughts and your ways. Forgive me, Lord for wasting so many opportunities.

Lord, it's been so cold this winter. We thank you for warm homes and warm beds. And please, Lord, stay close to those who feel the cold, those who aren't so blessed. Help us  to find them, Lord, and to share our warmth with them.

We thank you for the beauty of winter. For the fun children have with snow.
Lord, we pray you will keep our loved ones safe on icy streets. Help us to leave early and drive cautiously and patiently.

Father, protect the 10,000 drunk drivers leaving the Super Bowl, and all the others on the road with them.

We pray for those suffering from colds, the flu, and other winter illnesses. Help us remember to check frequently on neighbors, particularly elderly ones.

Lord, there are so many to pray for and so many needs. Please place a particular person, need, mission, church, or charity on my heart, and help me to pray for them consistently.

Thank you so much, Lord, for everything you do. Help  me now to look for Jesus in everyone I meet, and to demonstrate His love to everyone.

Everyone.

And help me not to be shy.
