Getting non-partisan political information
As the 2008 presidential campaign gets
an early start, many voters want to look deeper into the
candidates, their supporters, and their voting records.
The
following sites are non-partisan and helpful:
To check voting
records nationally, visit thomas.loc.gov and congress.org.
To discover who donated money to what candidates, go to opensecrets.org
where you can type in your zip code and see who donated money to which candidates. You can
also track candidates' funding sources by location and type.
Other useful sites
are tray.com
and vote-smart.org,
which provide unbiased information on candidates and issues.
This campaign we have
plenty of time and candidates. So let's take advantage of the
time and learn as much as we can. The links above are a good
place to start.
